I want you to have amazing wedding photographs. Call it chance, fate, kismet, providence, or destiny—I am an Austin wedding photographer and unforgettable wedding photography is my specialty.
I photograph dozens of Austin weddings and destination weddings every year, yet I treat each wedding as the unique and memorable event that it is. Every wedding is special, both to you and to me.
Whether you’ve already looked at many Austin wedding photographers or I’m the first one you’re checking out, I hope you find my wedding photos exceptional. My wedding photography style has been described as vibrant, clean, and colorful. Clients say that I’m able to capture the spirit of their wedding day. You’ll love how I tell the story of your special day through my candid, photojournalistic images.
After you see my portfolio, you may want to read what other clients have to say about me. I have over 100 five-star reviews from Yelp, The Knot, WeddingWire, and Google. I have not received a review less than five stars. You’ll appreciate that I'm friendly, responsive, and enthusiastic about capturing your marriage so that the memories last forever. Also, moms usually love me.
Did you know I’ve experienced hundreds of weddings? I want to take the wisdom I’ve gained from them and put it to work capturing your wedding day. For example, I can help you choose the best time to have your wedding ceremony, no matter what time of year it is. I also know all the words to “I Wanna Dance with Somebody (Who Loves Me).”
I have photographed unions at dozens of Austin wedding venues. That means I know the best spots to take photos, what difficulties we might face and how to overcome them, how to light the reception for the perfect party snapshots, and where to grab that gorgeous sunset shot that you’ll want to hang on your wall.
I’ll arrive at your wedding early and ready to go. I have a special playlist on Spotify so I’m at peak hypeness when I arrive. I will bust my booty to capture all the fleeting moments from your magical day. You’ll wonder how I managed to be everywhere all at once while still not feeling in-the-way.
I’m quick and responsive with phone calls, texts, and emails so you can get prompt answers to any questions that may come up in the planning process.
I use twin Nikon D810 cameras with a variety of professional-grade Nikon lenses. Using the D810 allows me to produce incredibly sharp photos that can won’t look blurry or pixelated even when blown up to 30”x40”. Working with pro-grade gear means I don’t worry about equipment failures at inopportune times and you end up with the best quality images.
Friends describe me as dependable, easy-going, clever, and hilarious. My mom describes me as a “dirty rotten scoundrel.” Clients call me amazing. You’ll feel at ease around me and you might even laugh at my bad puns.
I have over 100 five-star reviews from Yelp, The Knot, WeddingWire, and Google. I do not have any four-, three-, two-, or one-star reviews. You’ll love me because I am friendly and easy to communicate with, I produce amazing wedding photos, and I really, truly care about your wedding.
I often take pictures of couples in the months leading up to their wedding with an engagement session. Engagement sessions are a fantastic way for us to get to know each other and to help get you comfortable in front of the camera. Engagement photographs are often framed and displayed at the wedding.
Why do you want professional wedding photography? Presumably it is so you—and future generations—can relive your wedding day. My exceptional-quality wedding albums are the best way to preserve your memories for yourself and for future generations.
I am a proud supporter of marriage equality and have been working with clients from across the entire spectrum since I started Max Photography. I want you to feel comfortable regardless of your sexual orientation, gender identity, or gender expression.
The Texas Hill Country, known for its beautifully rugged limestone and granite hills topped with cedar and live oak, is a spectacular backdrop for your wedding photos. I’ve photographed dozens of weddings in Dripping Springs, Driftwood, and Wimberley—right in the middle of the hill country.
I photograph the majority of my weddings here in central Texas. I’ve photographed Texas weddings in Austin, San Antonio, Dripping Springs, New Braunfels, San Marcos, Kyle, Buda, Marble Falls, Georgetown, Round Rock, and more. I’ve also photographed Houston weddings and Dallas weddings.
Although I’m based out of Austin, I’m always thrilled to photograph destination weddings. Travel to the Denver area is free. Please contact me for rates for any other destinations.
Consider hiring a second photographer for your wedding. Having a second photographer allows us to be in two places at once so that more aspects of your wedding day are captured. We’ll capture more details, more guest interactions, and multiple angles of important moments.
Below you’ll find a gallery of some of my favorite wedding images. I’ve picked photos that best represent my style: vibrant, colorful, and authentic. I’ve chosen photographs from all different styles of weddings—boho, casual, chic, classic, creative, DIY, dreamy, earthy, elegant, fun, indie, laid-back, modern, romantic, rustic, simple, traditional, vintage, and whimsical.
I’ve included photos from civil unions, destination weddings, elopements, LGBTQ+ weddings, military, and religious nuptials.
You’ll find images from Catholic, Baptist, Jewish, Lutheran, Methodist, Presbyterian, Protestant, Atheist, Non-Denominational, and Pastafarian wedding celebrations.
Just like snowflakes, fingerprints, and favorite taco joints, no two weddings or wedding photographers are the same. You’ve worked long and hard to make your wedding unique. Meaningful. Beautiful. I’m here to capture that. All the details. All the friends and family. And all the emotions of the day. I understand what makes your story one-of-a-kind and turn that into unforgettable images that truly capture the spirit of your relationship. I do that by developing a meaningful rapport with you. I seriously love my clients, and wedding photography is my passion.
At the end of the day, all you’ll have left of your wedding are the photographs (and possibly some freezer-burned cake). You’ll revisit them on your first anniversary. And your second. And your fiftieth. And when your grandchildren and great-grandchildren ask what your wedding was like, you can show them. That’s why it’s so important to choose a photographer with the experience, talent, and knowledge to make certain that everything is captured. Beautifully. In addition, I want to ensure that everything I do lasts more than a lifetime. My archival prints are made to last 100 years (200 years in dark storage, but why would you want to hide them?). Point being, your photos will outlive you, just as they should.
I carefully cull and edit your photos to perfection. Then you receive the digital images with printing rights. That said, I highly encourage you to have archival prints or albums made. Wedding photographs aren’t made to be viewed on a phone or laptop. I’m proud to offer beautiful, archival, professionally-framed and matted prints up to 30”x40” and gorgeous wedding albums. So you can relive the day over and over again.
